Rangpur Riders started their Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25 campaign with back-to-back wins after defeating Sylhet Strikers by 34 runs at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday. (More Cricket News)7bet gaming or sevenbet

Batting first, Rangpur Riders lost three wickets early but Iftikhar Ahmed anchored the innings and played an unbeaten knock of 47 runs off 42 balls which allowed Nurul Hasan and Mahedi Hasan to play quick knocks of 41 off 24 balls and 16 runs off 8 balls respectively to set a modest target of 156 runs.

In response, Rony Talukdar made 41 runs and kept Sylhet Strikers alive in the game until Khushdil Shah bowled him in the 15th over. The strikers managed to make only 121 runs in their 20 overs and hence lost the match by 34 runs.

Nahid Rana took four wickets whereas Shah and Mohammad Saifuddin shared two wickets each. Rana was named Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.
