As the Gaza ceasefire continues7bet gaming or sevenbet, a fresh round of hostage handoff is set to begin. In this round, Hamas is slated to release three Israeli hostages and five Thai hostages.

While the names of the Thai hostages are yet to be released, Israel has confirmed thatGadi Moses, 80; Arbel Yehud, 29; and Agam Berger, 20, will be released on Thursday.

On October 7, 2023, a number of foreign workers were also taken captive along with Israeli civilians. Of this, around 23 Thais were taken hostage but released during the weeklong ceasefire in November 2023.

As per Israel, around eight Thais remain in captivity, two of whom are believed to be dead. Today, at least five of these captives will be freed and handed over to the Red Cross.

As per the Israeli military, 20-year-old Agam Berger, a female soldier abducted over 15 months ago from a base near Gaza, has been freed from Hamas captivity and handed over to the Red Cross.

The second hostage handoff will take place in Khan Younis, next to the ruined house of Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’s leader in Gaza. Sinwar was killed by Israeli forces last year during a raid in the war-torn strip.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas came into effect on January 19, 2025 and is expected to last for six weeks. During this, all fighting would cease in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.

After over 15 months of fighting, thousands of Palestinians were able to return to their hometown, only to find piles of rubble.

As of now, three Israeli civilians and four IDF soldiers - all women - have been released by Hamas.

The released hostages have been identified as - Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Naama Levy, Daniella Gilboa, Romi Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher.

In exchange for this, nearly 300 Palestinian prisoners were released by Israeli authorities.
