South Africa's path to the World Test Championship final remains within reach, as they only need to win one of the two Test matches against Pakistan. However, they faced a tough challenge on Day 4, finishing at 27-3 at stumps.

The wicket at Centurion has proven troublesome for the batters, with the quick bowlers continuing to make life difficult. The Proteas will need to regroup and weather the storm to stay on course for a spot in the final.

The pitch at SuperSport Park, Centurion, has developed spongy bounce, making the 148-run target challenging for the Proteas in the fourth innings.

Now, South Africa's hopes rest on Aiden Markram, who was unbeaten on 22, and captain Temba Bavuma, who is yet to get off the mark.

Earlier, Jansen's 6-52 helped South Africa bowl Pakistan out for 237 after rain had delayed play for three hours.

Rainfall chances range from 21% to 54% throughout Sunday, making frequent interruptions probable.
