Abhishek Sharma's 135-run knock in Mumbai was the icing on the cake for the hosts, as they completed a 4-1 series victory over the 2022 T20 World Champions.

The series saw India dominate with the bat and the ball with Abhishek topping the run-scoring charts with 279 runs at a strike rate of 219.69.

The youngster displayed goalkeeping masterclass in the shoot-out, saving all four of Pakistan’s attempts after the match was drawn 1-1 in regulation time.

Defending champions India will now face off against China, who beat Pakistan in the first semi-final.
